WORKING PRESSURE PN
The working pressure PN is indicated in bar with a safety factor of 4 at static load and shown in the technical product tables for each individual diameter.
TEMPERATURE RANGE
-40°C to +180°C
LEAK RATE WITH HELIUM
10-8 mbar • l/s
(when professionally assembed; see installation instructions and tubes)
VACUUM
up to 10-4 mbar, higher values are possible
STAINLESS STEEL TUBES TO USE
Seamless stainless steel precision tubes (to DIN EN 10216-5/EN ISO 1127, tolerance class T4) with clean smooth surface. Outside diameter of ± 0,1 mm. Minimum quality of the surface: m, hardness ≤ HRB 80 ≈ HV 155.
OTHER TUBES TO USE
Tubes of plastic and seamless copper tubes (esp. EN 12449/1057) with clean smooth surface. Outside diameter of ± 0,1 mm; exception: plastice tubes. See also chapter tubes and hoses. Further materials on request.
IMPORTANT!
Chemical nickel-plated unions can be used as a less expensive alternative to stainless steel in individual cases, but under no circumstances as a general rule. The working conditions (pressure, medium, temperature, environment etc.) have to be established for each individual application. To the extent required we recommend that you carry out your own tests beforehand, or that you consult us with indication of the exact working conditions.
